2nd Sunday on King Street and The KKBE Lowcountry Nosh Today!
Artist Spotlight, Dinner, Experiences, FoodSo many stores, galleries and restaurants, so much to eat, drink see and do . It’s the most fun you can have in Charleston every single month. Park. Walk to Liberty Street (you know, it’s where the Apple Store is). Look for the 2nd Sunday tent and introduce yourself to @fishprintgirl Liz Roberts, who will introduce you to Gyotaku, the ancient method of printing fish. She inks one side of a real, locally caught fish then presses paper onto the fish to transfer the ink to create an exact mirrored image. Beautiful. And there’s free 2nd Sunday stuff. Pick up a post-it everybody loves post-its!
Then, on to Hasell Street for The Lowcountry Nosh, the Jewish food and heritage festival held annually as part of 2nd Sunday by KKBE. Takes up the whole block on Hasell Street. So many delicacies, so little time. And pickles! KKBE is the second oldest synagogue in the United States and the oldest in continuous use. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1980.
