2nd Sunday on King Street Returns This Weekend
CHARLESTON, SC (October 7, 2021) --- 2nd Sunday on King Street will continue its monthly schedule Sunday, October 10th after a successful relaunch in September, announced Susan Lucas, President of the Charleston Peninsula Preservation Trust (CPPT), the non-profit that manages and produces 2nd Sunday.
“We had a pleasantly surprising crowd in September, thanks to our media partners,” said Lucas. “After an 18 month hiatus due to COVID and the DELTA variant, we weren’t sure what to expect. But, people came in droves and loved it. We are back and happy to be on the street every month again. The city is kicking in two hours of parking free in most city garages, and your favorite stores, restaurant and galleries will be open. Our street food options get bigger each month.
Shop2ndsunday.com has all the updates for people that want to follow along, as well as the barcode for parking lots. Come to stroll, shop, dine and enjoy Charleston’s “Main Street” on a vehicle-free, pedestrian-only afternoon. From noon to 5:00 pm.

Remembering Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs died October 5, 2011. We remember him with admiration and gratitude.
“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
— Steve Jobs, 1997
