2nd Sunday November 12: Much to Love
Jewish Food and Culture: The Nosh! Hasell Street between King and Meeting.
Sure it might rain, but what are the holidays for except warm jackets, dry boots, gloves and comfort food. So many places to find all those things at 2nd Sunday!
There’s a warm fire in the library at Restoration on King, winner of Condé Nast Johansens Best Urban Hotel. Also, a tasty cocktail on the rooftop at The Watch.
A big thank you to our supporters and sponsors for making 2nd Sunday a big success.

Long Awaited Comfort October 18 in our Favorite Courtyard
BooksBlue Bicycle Books presents A Renkl in Two Weeks' Time
Wed., Oct. 18, 5:30 pm, New York Times columnist Margaret Renkl will be in the courtyard for her new devotional The Comfort of Crows (Spiegel & Grau, 288 pp.,$32).
In 52 chapters, each with original color illustrations, Renkl follows the creatures and plants in her backyard over the course of a year. As we move through the seasons—from a crow spied on New Year’s Day, its resourcefulness and sense of community setting a theme for the year—what develops is a portrait of joy and grief.
This event is presented by the Charleston Natural History Society (formerly the Charleston Audubon Society).

2nd Sunday at Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry
CML SUPERSTARS!
second and fourth sundays
10am-12pm
The Children’s Museum is open from 10:00am – 12:00pm on the second and fourth Sundays of every month exclusively for children with special needs and their families to visit the Museum for FREE. Children are able to explore and play in the Museum without the crowds and over-stimulation.
This program is FREE, but registration is required below.
At the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry, play is learning and learning is play. CML believes that play is essential to the educational development of ALL children, regardless of challenges such as autism, developmental delays or physical disabilities. CML has proven to be a critical partner for the special needs community. Participants come from across the Charleston tri-county area at the suggestion of their doctors, therapists, teachers and hospitals.
Participants learn through play at their own pace, build self-confidence and discover their natural talents. Using CML as an alternative play environment, children can hone fine and gross motor skills through play, explore a multi-story medieval castle and shop for “real” groceries. Questions? Please contact Misty Beck at misty@exploreCML.org
